Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Parte to join their culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen efficiently maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation and supporting the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present dishes in line with the clients quality and consistency standards.
Assist in the development and refinement of menu items contributing creative ideas.
Ensure food preparation and storage areas are maintained in accordance with health and safety standards.
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations within your section.
Maintain proper inventory levels; report shortages and requisition supplies as needed.
Monitor portion control minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent service.
Uphold hygiene cleanliness and sanitation procedures in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in kitchen briefings training and shift planning as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Parte or strong experience as a Demi Chef in a reputable kitchen.
Formal culinary training or equivalent handson experience.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations food safety and presentation standards.
Ability to work in a fastpaced and teamoriented environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings weekends and public holidays.
