Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Buyer to support FrontEnd Engineering Design (FEED) and Basic Engineering Design activities for Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) projects. As part of the owner engineering team you will be responsible for managing the endtoend procurement process for technically complex materials and equipment working closely with engineering materials management and vendor interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement cycle from purchase requisition to purchase order issuance.
Prepare and issue RFQs; coordinate with vendors to clarify technical and commercial aspects.
Support bid evaluations in collaboration with engineering and materials teams.
Negotiate terms and ensure timely costeffective purchasing aligned with project requirements.
Monitor supplier performance delivery status and expedite as needed.
Maintain procurement documentation for compliance traceability and audits.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Supply Chain or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement ideally in oil & gas refining or chemical plant projects.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices material specifications and industrial project workflows.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement documentation.
Excellent communication negotiation and organizational skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Italian or French is considered a plus.
