We are looking for a Record to Report Sr. Accountant in our Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) Center in TransUnions Global Capability Center based out of Pune India to provide support to Record to report Team in partnership with the Global Process Leader for Record to Report and the GFSS site leader for Pune.What Youll Bring:
Key accountabilities include:
This role will ensure that the GFSS Record to Report team in Pune delivers on the following key responsibilities:
o Monthend and quarterend close process and other requirements set forth by the segment accounting teams while delivering on service level commitments for timeliness and quality
o Provide well documented and approved journal entries in accordance with the month end close check list
o Preparation of timely and accurate account reconciliation in accordance with TUs policy
o Preparation of audit support for the US GAAP and Statutory audits
o Preparation of supporting documentation for tax filings
Performance Reporting & Business Intelligence: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate process performance including key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards using BI / Tableau Platform
Business Partnering and Collaboration with Stakeholders : Collaborate closely with the global process leader for record to report and the segment controllers and their teams to ensure clear understanding of expectations of the GFSS team and the GFSS teams execution of their work
Risk Assessment and Management: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities develop strategies to mitigate risks and provide recommendations for optimizing financial outcomes.
Support team members with issues and escalations
Responsible to explain process instructions to others
Ensure proper training to other team members including creation of backup plan to ensure deliverables
Ensure appropriate controls are in place and are being executed
Implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement
Identify any anomaly deviation or exception and resolve
Maintain daily reports on operational performance for team and provide to Record to Report Manager
Reviews work of team members for quality and process standards
Assists others in resolving the issues/queries
Supplies performance input on team members to Record to Report Manager
Supports other projects and ad hoc assignments as required by Record to Report Managers and/or GFSS Site Leader

CA only with atleast 5 years of job specific experience
Should be expert in Excel Tableau Power BI and excellent in Presentation skills
Very sound General Accounting and Financial Control skills including Risk Management skills
Excellent leadership and management skills
Proven continuous improvement expertise
Experience with financial systems like Oracle (PeopleSoft)
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness
Possess high attention to details
Ability to determine work priorities to meet schedules and deadlines of the work
Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions in dayto day responsibilities
Possess leadership skills to motivate and guide team
Ability to perform resource planning and utilization in consultation with the Manager
Strong organizational and time management skills
