Assistant Vice President Manager RRS GCC role supports a range of data analytical and research services work that serve as inputs to Moodys ratings. The AVPManager will be responsible to identify and implement process improvement and has people management responsibilities. Prospective candidates will have an indepth understanding of fundamental finance as well as a good understanding of capital markets. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational skills demonstrate attention to detail as well as their ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage managers people and projects supporting data ratings research analytical outreach and apply technical knowledge to guide junior team members and lead process improvements.
Act as a people manager and a manager of managers with responsibility for all aspects of data intake data normalization and data processing
Act as primary point of oversight for full team
Take full responsibility for the quality of deliverables for the staff they manage as well as end to end delivery of several business as usual (BAU) tasks such as complex data and research tasks or analytic support tasks such as basic methodology application processes credit estimates and research projects
Ensure consistent application of standards and processes across regions seeking identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce regional or other inconsistencies in approach
Take full responsibility for initial review/quality assessments of work for complex tasks and address improvement areas through feedback or training
Coordinate allocation of work across the team and mange workload pipeline to provide sufficient time for completion.
Provide feedback to management on quality and accuracy of work produced by team members while providing constructive and proactive feedback
Responsible for identifying and implementing process reengineering and process improvements. Utilize expertise to identify inefficiencies suggest improvements build consensus and implement the change
Take complete ownership over the transition of simpler activities to the service hubs
Manage relationships with key stakeholders and support outsourcing activities where relevant
Lead projects or participate in working groups. For example analyze impact of methodology updates onto teams processes and leading the implementation; partnering with other departments to move work into RRS Global Capability Centers building welldefined processes and output targets
Attract hire develop motivate and retain talented junior analytical staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters in Engineering Finance Economics or Business/Accounting
Relevant experience of 8 years in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation; experience in fundamental finance will be an added advantage
Strong organizational skills dependable and able to multitask and manage priorities
Experience/desire to manage and mentor a diverse team
Knowledge or prior experience analyzing financial statements
Excellent Microsoft Office skills in particular advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Fluency in English with the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate credit knowledge in both written/verbal form
