Description

ManpowerGroup on behalf of its client one of the largest companies in Greece specializing in hospitality construction and asset management is in search of a procurement officer.

Location: Athens
Working Model: OnSite
You will be reporting to: Procurement Manager

What you will do:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the companys procurement processes ensuring the acquisition of highquality goods and services at competitive prices. They negotiate with suppliers ensure compliance with internal policies and manage procurement contracts.

More specifically you will:

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers
  • Understand the specific needs and requirements of technical projects
  • Issue RFQ and RFP and evaluate the proposals
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers
  • Place and monitor procurement orders
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure the quality of received goods and services
  • Implement and adhere to the companys procurement policies and procedures
  • Incorporate items and orders in the ERP
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Economics Business Administration and / or Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering
  • 35 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a construction company
  • Familiarity with technical specifications and standards in engineering and construction
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Familiarity with procurement management systems (e.g. ERP)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Very good use of English both in verbal and written form
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
