Were looking for a Social Worker/ AMHP to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

Join a highly skilled EDT team that work out of hours providing a robust response to people in crisis. EDT provide a service to Children young people vulnerable adults and their families ensuring the right support at the right time to safeguard people who present in Crisis out of hours.

The Emergency Duty Team (EDT) are an out of hours service. therefore you will be working alongside colleagues on a rotating Shift Pattern which will include some weekends and Bank Holidays. We work closely with our partner agencies.

As part of our team you will:

  • Be a qualified AMHP or willing to train as an AMHP
  • Provide a highquality response to emergency referrals out of normal working hours.
  • Work a rotational shift pattern.
  • Provide appropriate support and interventions to vulnerable adults children and families to address safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide out of hours advice and guidance to professionals as well as factually accurate and reflective reports.
  • Be the first point of contact for professionals vulnerable adults children families or members of the public who have a concern which cannot wait until normal office hours resume.
  • Carry out thorough highquality crisis led assessments for children and families promptly identifying level of risk need and services required to promote and ensure safe outcomes.
  • Actively apply legal and professional knowledge and skills balancing protection risk and support to achieve positive outcomes for those requiring our service.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for social workers who can work autonomously manage competing demands and work under pressure without the onsite support of their line manager. You will be confident in your decision making and risk assessment skills and be able to provide advice guidance and challenge to colleagues within Social Care and across agencies.

Hours of Work:

  • 36 hours per week on a Shift Rotation Pattern leave is included within the rota.
  • The rota is over an 8week period you will work 13night shifts and 3 days shifts and cover some of the bank holidays within the rota. Leave is within this rota.
  • Weekday nights: 5pm to 9am with an hours break.
  • Weekends: 8.30am5:30 pm or 5pm9:00am.
