Role is a Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician
Based at Polarspeed Distribution Ltd 7 Chartmoor Road Site 1 Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire LU7 4WG
Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday

As an Accuracy Checking Technician working within the inhouse pharmacy you will be responsible for providing accurate final checking on homecare prescriptions providing technical dispensing assistance to the the Responsible Pharmacists.
Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 0800 and 1800 on a split shift basis you must be flexible and prepared to workadditionalhours as and whenrequiredto meet our servicerequirementswhich may be of an urgent medical nature.
NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities:
Comply with all required GPhC standards for registration as an Accuracy Checking Technician
To carry out final checking of dispensed items in accordance with approved protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Supervise and participate in the dispensing and supply of medical products in accordance with the requirements of: The Medicine Act Medicines Ethics and Practice guide Good Distribution Practice.
Ensure all activities meet and integrate with Quality Management Systems Health and Safety requirements COSSH regulations and environmental policies.
Actively drive the Clinical Governance standards within the Pharmacy services
Assist in all regular performance audits
Actively participate in the training and development of the Pharmacy team

Specialist Knowledge:
NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services Skills
Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
