We have two exciting opportunitiesfor Infrastructure Engineers to join our Technology team on a fixed term contract for a period of 24 months.
As our Infrastructure Engineer youll be responsible for assisting the business in ensuring IT services are available and fit for purpose and leading in removing problems from the environment. Youll ensure Asset Knowledge is documented and shared and provide a senior technical position for setting standards and being an escalation point for technical matters

The Role
Main responsibilities include:
- Aid the Principal Engineer in Asset Life Cycle Management
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on relevant Asset Categories
- Advise the Principal Engineer of asset performance to help shape Technical Roadmaps
- Follow Test Install Maintenance Upgrade and Continuous Improvement cycles to ensure services are offering best value
- Act as a final point of escalation for Incidents and Problems
- Deputise for the Infrastructure lead when required
- Mentor and guide 1st and 2nd Line Engineers in all aspects of technology
- Ensure the technology Infrastructure systems operate efficiently in accordance to agreed service availability metrics
- Ensuring projects deliverables are met on schedule and to the agreed budget
- Proactively engage in projects to deliver the appropriate solution
- Create update and review documentation following our systems library process.
- Identify and help mitigate risks
- Work with Infrastructure Lead and Principal Engineer to ensure best financial value is achieved from ongoing costs such as licence types and support levels
- Positively challenge existing processes and procedures to seek continuous improvement.
About You
Youll have significant previous experience of working within a Technology Infrastructure Engineer role or similar.
ITiL. v4 Foundation would be highly desirable. A keen interest & understanding of Infrastructure technologies is advantageous. Training and relevant certification would be provided.
Some but not all the following would be an advantage:
Server Virtualisation Citrix Networking Firewalls Storage Monitoring Operating systems including Windows & Linux Wide area networks Microsoft Exchange Microsoft active directory administration Backup and disaster recovery Telephony Systems Office 365 Cloud services
