Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cuttingedge projects in the nuclear industry Join our dynamic team and contribute to innovative engineering solutions in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Your future team:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be instrumental in delivering highquality engineering solutions from initial optioneering to fullscale implementation. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams lead small work packages and support project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Your missions:
Lead the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
Manage project deliverables budgets and timelines.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities.
Provide technical direction to junior engineers and designers.
Collaborate effectively with other engineering and safety disciplines.
Support project managers and lead engineers in performance tracking.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards e.g. BS EN 13001 BS 2573 and BS EN 13155

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:
You should have demonstrable experience within
Drive Mechanisms
Hydraulic Systems
Lifting Equipment Design
Welding Design
Design for Manufacture
Mechanical Handling
Experience using the below software is essential
Inventor
AutoCAD
Vault
MathCAD
Staad Pro (preferred)
Revit (preferred)
Awareness of key regulations and standards is essential
Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations
CDM Regulations
UKCA marking

Additional Information :
Staff positions umbrella contractors considered
Will consider base at any Assystem office but preferably Sunderland Glasgow Derby Bristol Blackburn in that order
Sole UK Nationals required capable of securing SC status. Can commence work with BPSS.
