Were looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team and help us create a scalable secure and reliable global platform. Youll work on highimpact projects that make it easier for people and businesses everywhere to send and receive money no matter where they are.
About the Team: Receive Risk
The Receive Risk team is a global product team focused on making it safe and seamless for customers to receive money into their Wise accounts. We build intelligent systems and controls to detect and stop fraudsters and scammers protecting both Wise and our customers.
We support all of our receive products (like local and global account details payment links and invoicing) and work closely with our Financial Crime teams to ensure these tools are lowfriction for good users and highfriction for the bad ones.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For
A strong product mindset and genuine passion for user experience you prioritize customer value and make datadriven decisions
Clear communication skills you can explain complex technical ideas to nontechnical audiences
Selfstarter attitude with a collaborative spirit you work well independently and across teams
Ability to break down complex problems into shippable milestones that deliver value fast
Experience in building web applications and distributed systems in a production environment
Clean efficient and welltested code is your standard youre big on performance and maintainability
You follow and promote best practices including CI/CD and code reviews
Experience with relational and nonrelational databases query optimization and schema design is a plus
Familiarity with Java Spring Boot and messaging systems like Kafka is a plus
