We are currently creating a worldleading centre for innovation onsite at Macquarie University that represents a new era for hearing and vision loss. This nationally significant social infrastructure project will be a place to nurture trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf hard of hearing blind or have low vision.
The Role
NextSense is seeking a commercially astute and passionate leader to join our Services Leadership Team as the State Operations Manager (Victoria). This position will be responsible for leading local therapy teams in service delivery of Early Intervention (Hearing loss) Diagnostic and Cochlear Implant Audiology for the Victoria Network as well as supporting strategic operations and the implementation of the broader Victoria strategy over the threeyear period.
The State Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring our service delivery frameworks and practices are aligned with our best practice operating standards and our broader organisational strategy. This role serves as a senior leader within services and acting as a conjoint between Services Technology Operations and Property and other key internal and external stakeholders during a critical period of change.
This 3year temporary fulltime role is based at our Blackburn location and reports jointly to the Deputy Chief Executive/Chief Operating Officer and Director of Technology Operations and Property. The role will also involve travel to other NextSense locations across Victoria and outside of Victoria as required.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification/s Applied Sciences and/or Business or substantial equivalent operational management experience.
5 to 10 years relevant experience in leading complex building and development projects and change management projects impacting diverse teams within a complex organisation and environment.
Prior extensive experience as a senior manager in a diverse and complex organisation with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in understanding interacting and relating to clients at all levels and translating client needs into a best practice journeys and complete solutions.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels in an organisation.
Advanced written communication skills including high attention to detail and the ability to write nonstandard correspondence.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others to take action to move toward a shared vision or goal.
Excellent interpersonal skills that gain respect and credibility with key stakeholders.
Valid Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC) number.
Valid NDIS Worker Check.
Clear Criminal Record Check
