Network Design / Implementation Engineer

About the Role

UBDS are seeking a highly skilled Network / Infrastructure Engineer with handson experience to join our Secure Connectivity capability group to provide specialist / dedicated support to UBDS clients infrastructure technology roadmaps and programmes / projects.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the design and implementation of network solutions across a variety of client sectors.
• You will be a problemsolver passionate about networking & technology
• Our customerfacing role will expose you to a diverse group of teams providing endless opportunities for career growth in a challenging and fastpaced environment.
• You will develop yourself as an SME for other members of the team whose speciality is not networking.
• Effectively communicate with customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries both orally and in writing.
• Collaborate with other team members to work together on outages misconfigurations and complex issues that may arise within customer networks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless security switching and other various networkrelated issues
• Work with colleagues and our clients teams to diagnose and resolve critical escalated issues.

About You

• Previous & Proven hands on experience Cisco products and other major networking tools & products
• A good understanding of networking protocols & transport protocols including TCP STP OSPF BGP etc.
• Experience setting up or testing LANs VLANs WLANs VPNs and NAT amongst other services.
• Outstanding English language written and verbal communication skills and comprehension.
• Excellent client facing skills and an ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation
• Experience in computer networking related problem solving critical thinking and troubleshooting.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Networking certifications: CCNA or equivalent.
• You must be eligible for SC Clearance

• Previous experience with Cisco products Aruba products with some firewalls experience; and Azure networking will be beneficial.
