AWC Staff Services are looking for 2 National Grid Authorised Steel Fixers for work at Melksham Substation.
You will be:
- Reading plans and specifications form the drawing & bar Schedule
- Interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the required layout size and shape of steel reinforcement.
- Precise and accurate in your work paying close attention to measurements and designs.
- Collaborate with engineers steel erectors and other construction workers on the project.
- Check that all the steel manufactured is right to the bar schedule.
You must have experience working on a Substation as a Steel Fixer along with having all the relevant qualifications and competencies for this role.
Start:2nd June 2025
Duration: 34 months (potentially longer)
Rate: 28 per hour
