Role Summary

Our client is a hospitality and leisure company that operates luxury hotels train services river cruises and safaris worldwide. They are looking for a Spa Therapist to complete their team for one of their trains a luxury overnight sleeper in England and Wales. The role requires you to be away for 3 nights/4 days at a time but may also be onboard for up to 6 days at a time (1 trip3 nights/ 2 trips 6 nights). This role entails providing professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments to our clients. You will offer a full range of treatments to fulfil different client needs and objectives. It is important to ensure guest delight by providing the highest quality treatments service and complete dedication to the guests comfort and wellbeing. Skills

• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
• Offer information about available spa services treatments and products.
• Schedule appointments and manage bookings for spa treatments.
• Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments massages facials waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner.
• Deliver general wellness treatments & offerings to guests onboard in line with the brand ethos & vision.
• Ensure treatments are conducted professionally adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
• Maintain an indepth knowledge of spa products and services.
• Recommend and sell spa products to guests providing personalized advice based on their needs.
• Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products.
• Keep documentation and maintain clients records as required.
• Keep a clean and stocked treatment area.
• Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries needs and expectations.
• Cooperate with and report on administration on any issues arising.
• Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends.
• Ensure that the spa meets the required Leading Quality Assurance standards.
• Follow the set guidelines and standard operating procedures for spa therapists.
• Conduct all treatments professionally.
• Communicate effectively with train management regarding guest preferences special requests and any issues that arise.
• Strive to achieve the highest standards through continuous education in treatments.
• Check whether the guest has any allergies or injuries prior to the treatment or previous medical history which prevent them from undergoing the spa treatment.
• Assist the guests in selecting their treatment & explain the treatment procedures.
• Ensure proficiency of all treatments offered at the spa & have a good working knowledge of all spa facilities.
• To respect the guest at all times and be discreet with any confidential matters the guest bestows upon you be it of a conversational nature or of a physical nature such as skin conditions or ailments.
• Ensure that the correct uniform is worn and a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene is maintained.
• Assist with general onboard duties including but not limited to assisting with greeting guests and helping with luggage as well as supporting other operational departments as required.

Qualifications & Characteristics

• At least 13 years experience as a therapist.
• Minimum NVQ 3 qualified or equivalent.
• Company certificates gained within a recognised company training scheme
• Genuine interest and passion for wellness and body therapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Knowledge about human anatomy body types muscles and joints.
• Knowledge on various massages and oils
• Fluency in English both written and verbal is essential.
