Job Description

Job Title:Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry
Grade:Consultant
Location: Oldham Lancashire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate:Competitive to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry for our NHS client based in Oldham Lancashire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis with an immediate start for a shortterm contract.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK your responsibilities are both broad and specialised. You will be primarily responsible for providing expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for older adults experiencing complex mental health issues. This includes leading and overseeing the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.

You will also manage and support multidisciplinary teams ensuring effective collaboration between healthcare professionals such as psychologists social workers and nurses.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • Section 12 approval
  • Approved Clinician (AC) status is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role is required
