The Global Trade Manager is responsible for global trade compliance for the business in the EMEA region. The role involves the daytoday management of import and export transactions technology management and the coordination of global trade policies procedures and global trade initiatives for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of the global trade program and working with the business to understand applicable requirements. A critical part of the role is global trade policy and procedure implementation which involves the flow down and implementation of procedures throughout the business

Engaging with the business leadership to support the development and execution of business strategic initiatives

Analyse business needs with respect to Global Trade requirements and develop compliant solutions across all phases of the business lifecycle

Responsible for the application and management of Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) authorizations and support activities conducted under Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) authorizations

Support the Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification activities

Support the logistics organization to ensure imports and exports are conducted compliantly

Responsible for the development and sustainment of the Global Trade focal network within the business to support the functional teams.

Support the Central Global Trade team as appropriate in investigations related to the businesss activities

Support the development and delivery of formal and informal Global Trade training and communications

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or equivalent; preferably in avionics electronics or software Desired

Experience in customs export authorizations or international trade compliance related role

Experience of United States German and other EMEA export regulations

Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS

Project or program management experience

Experience of interpreting and managing policies and procedures

Developing and implementing standard work

Ability to work autonomously and independently

Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization Proactive responsive selfmotivated receptive to change

Works well under pressure and is able to prioritize workload

Attention to detail and strong record management competency

Strong IT experience including Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
