Ultrafast Laser Process Expert (all genders)

In this role you will develop deep application expertise for strategic key applications of industrial ultrashort pulse lasers. You will leverage this knowledge to help define a compelling value proposition for our customers drive the continuous improvement of our products support marketing activities and contribute to selected sales projects.

Your responsibilities

Technical

• Development of strategic key applications:

• Building a deep technical understanding regarding technical requirements alternative processes and economic conditions.

• Defining fundamental process principles and boundaries and deriving the required laser parameters.

• Contribution to the creation of a value proposition as part of the Market Solution Team consisting of Application Integration and Product Management.
• Collaboration with international customers to clarify technical requirements provide support on processrelated questions and demonstrate applications.
• Customeroriented documentation of results.
• Involvement in the identification of future key applications for ultrashort pulse (USP) lasers.
• Definition of product requirements for the development of new products or the improvement of existing ones.
• Creation of technical white papers participation in trade fairs and conferences and representation of the company.
• Close cooperation with local application labs sharing of application knowledge and support of local labs in sales projects.
• Execution of customer applications within the scope of sales projects (30%).

Organizational

• Operation maintenance and expansion of the lab. Contribution to the strategic direction and definition of the required resources and equipment.
• Collaboration with external partners and universities (e.g. for sample analysis purposes).
• Willingness to travel internationally (20%).

Your qualification

• Degree in Physics (.) or Engineering (.)
• Excellent knowledge of optics and laserbased products
• Very good command of English and strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent physical and technical understanding combined with strategic and analytical thinking
• Serviceoriented mindset with a structured solutionfocused working style
• High level of initiative sense of responsibility and motivation to drive innovation
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary international teams
