Working in longterm care is more than just a job; it is a calling for many of Opportunity:The Program Support Services Manager is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of programs that provide a variety of meaningful activities to meet the physical psychological social emotional and/or spiritual needs of Is In It For You:Supports Resident Documentation Requirements including Resident Assessment/Reassessment Care Planning MDS Coding and Progress Notes. Supports resident and family councils. Maintains a calendar of recreational & social activities that support the interests needs and cultural diversity of residents. Coordinates/facilitates recreation programs special events outings & entertainment. Coordinates the Volunteer Program including student and coop placements. Coordinates religious and spiritual program opportunities. Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decisionmaking authority and/or brings to the attention of the Administrator. What You Will NeedA postsecondary Degree or Diploma in a related field such as Kinesiology or Gerontology and related experience specific to providing recreation and leisure services in a healthcare setting preferably with seniors. Provincial certification for safe food in Volunteer Management is preferred.
