Salary:$70k 85k

Hybrid/Remote with site visits

THE ROLE
As an intermediate to senior Mechanical Designer you will be involved in the design and development of mechanical systems for a variety of commercial residential public and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and proficiency in Revit as well as other software programs.

THE ROLE
As an intermediate to senior Mechanical Designer you will be involved in the design and development of mechanical systems for a variety of commercial residential public and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and proficiency in Revit as well as other software programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workign with senior engineer create mechanical designs gfor building systems including HVAC plumbing and fire protection.
- Prepare and review detailed designs drawings and specifications using Revit and other design tools.
- Perform site visits to assess project requirements verify installations and ensure quality control.
- Liaise with clients consultants contractors and project teams
- Conduct load calculations energy modeling and equipment selection to meet project requirements and code compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers
- Work with the design on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6years of experience in mechanical design for the building industry.
- Strong understanding of building codes standards and sustainable design practices.
- Experience designing mechanical systems of a range of projects is preferred
- Professional Engineer (.) designation or eligibility is preferred.
- Able to travel to sites within Alberta 12 times per week
- Excellent problemsolving communication and leadership skills.
