HOURS Part time Saturday Night shift 10:45pm to 6:45am

This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd Womens Services Martha House
How You Will Make an Impact
The successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and nonresidential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding valuesbased environment.
- Develop and maintain a caseload
- Complete an intake and assessment on each resident
- Design implement in consultation with supervisor an interview schedule that will provide an evaluation of quality of life improvement of successful program participants
- Maintain confidentiality with regards to clients/staff and Centres records
- Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations
What Youll Bring to Our Team
- Postsecondary education in a related field is required
- Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting cis women trans and nonbinary individuals including violence abuse mental illness homelessness poverty and substance use
- Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Intake and Assessment
- A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability flexibility adaptability hospitality and dignity is essential
- C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified)
- A valid Ontario drivers license (G) is also an asset
- The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule
- Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
