Role impact:
The Technology Procurement & Vendor Management Senior Managers primary focus will be on overseeing optimizing and continuously improving the established Technology Procurement & Vendor Management practice for the Data & Technology (D&T) department. This role ensures the organization chooses and maintains the right suppliers for its technology solutions driving more business value from partners while reducing risks. This involves leveraging industry standards and best practices various risk and compliance frameworks and applying appropriate governance to our portfolio of IT vendors. This includes accountability in Spend Governance Supplier Risk Management Vendor Strategy and Traditional Vendor Management.
Additionally this role will be responsible for vendor management engagements for technology vendors with responsibility for effective vendor governance contract and performance management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) value creation opportunities from strategic vendor relationships and driving highdollar IT solutions by leading the Quarterly Business Reviews with the D&T CIO and Leadership Team.
This role will lead and manage the sourcetocontract lifecycle as it pertains to D&T and undertake activities for timely contract renewals and execution of the RFx processes. Duties will include gathering and analyzing current spend data providing advanced technical and strategic guidance developing procurement packages as well as contract execution and administration.
What you will deliver:
- Overseeing and ensuring adherence to the Technology Procurement and Vendor Management policies process standards controls and governance framework.
- Develop vendor relationships that may vary in complexity and criticality as well as maintain compliance with TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) policy and Vendor Management Policy and procedures.
- Accountable and responsible for risk issue management and monthly quarterly performance management sessions for highrisk vendors and or business significant vendors within the specific technology vendor portfolio.
- Responsible for delivery of effective vendor relationship and driving cost efficiencies in line with D&T and Business strategies; including service product delivery governance performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Represent the needs of D&T and the Business and actively participate in vendor management governance negotiations and collaborate with Legal to draft and finalize contracts based on sourcing event outcomes KPIs SLAs.
- Liaise with Operations Procurement to collaborate on Operational Technology (OT) requirements and procurement
- Analyzing and interpreting complex spend data vendor and contract data
- Preparing summary reports and presentations with data collected to present strategic opportunities
- Manage timely contract renewals (professional services software hardware purchases) including review of contracts with Legal cost proposals and contract supplements with stakeholders.
- Manage the delivery of strategic sourcing (RFx) process evaluation vendor selection negotiation and contract development in collaboration with Legal and other stakeholders. Ensure the procurement processes are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
- Assist in negotiating complex single source or multisource contracts and developing unique pricing strategies and contract terms and conditions
- Collaborate with Security Privacy Quality Assurance Enterprise Architecture to ensure their requirements are taken into consideration as part of vendor selection and contracting.
- Monitoring for consistent application and compliance with the IT Procurement Policy Delegation of Authority Policy processes standards and controls.
- Providing guidance to D&T team members to drive performance compliance of contracts leading practices of contract development and management functions and strategic planning of cost efficiencies

What you need to succeed:
- Extensive experience minimum 7 years as an experienced IT Vendor or Procurement Manager
- Postsecondary education in a business discipline or related field
- Experience in technology Procurement Vendor process systems design and implementation vendor relationship and risk management
- Experience with technology Supplier Risk Management and Spend Governance (i.e. cost savings)
- Experience with Contract Governance and exposure to Legal work either in a Legal or Corporate environment where technical review and/or authoring of contracts (i.e. Software as a Service Agreements) and understanding of Legal implications
- Experience with leading interactions between vendor and client groups for Quarterly Business Reviews at Clevel and Executivelevel
- Highly proficient in MS Office (i.e. Excel PowerPoint) and Google Suite of Products (i.e. Sheets Slides Gmail)
- Exposure to eSourcing third party management platforms (i.e. SAP Ariba Ivalua etc.) preferred
- Knowledge of office and retail space and related infrastructure will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of privacy and security regulations as it relates to data sensitivity and integrity preferred
- Holding relevant professional certifications is an asset (e.g. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or ThirdParty Risk Management Professional (C3PRMP) or equivalent)
- Previous experience in governance and compliance roles and continuous improvement environments is preferred
