Job Description
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team in the Ambulatory Care setting and Specialty clinics such as Endoscopy Urodynamics Minor Surgical Plastics and Cataract Sedation Nurse. The Endoscopy Nurse functions as an experienced selfdirected surgical care nurse by assessing planning providing and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Postbasic education in Gastroenterology and Urodynamics; training in Endoscopy Urodynamics Minor Surgical Specialty clinics Procedural Sedation and two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support Level C.
