About The Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant you will be passionate about providing one on one support to older Australians living in Hervey Bay and surrounding suburbs including Maryborough. You will support our clients to continue living independently in their own homes by providing domestic assistance personal care and other social supports. This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to the industry and passionate about making a positive impact in the ageing community.
You will support multiple clients each day so a willingness to travel is essential with your KMs reimbursed while you are working. We have a Casual opportunity available with hours mainly between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday no sleepover shifts required.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
- An Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum thirdparty insurance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant preemployment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
