The College of Health and Education was formed in 2023 by merging the Schools of Nursing Psychology Counselling Exercise Science and Education enhancing collaboration and academic strengths.
Your New Role!
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer Level B to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing scholarly research and engaging in professional activities pertinent to their discipline. This role involves contributing to the teaching efforts by preparing and delivering lectures tutorials and other educational activities. Additionally the Lecturer will supervise honours and postgraduate students and undertake various administrative and service duties within the College and the University.
Your key responsibilities will include
Facilitate the learning and teaching of mathematics in early childhood education by utilising a playbased approach. This method should reflect a comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and its practical application for children aged 08 years
Understand and applykindergarten curriculum guidelines addressing misconceptions and embracing diversity. Be wellversed in the Western Australian and revised Mathematics curriculum.
Teach Inclusive Educationunits specialising in planning teaching and assessing diverse learners. Recognise the impact of cultural and linguistic diversity especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

This Continuous Part time (18.75 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $108K $128K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
A postgraduate qualification (AQF 9 or above) in Education in a Mathematics and or inclusive Education combined with experience to demonstrate equivalence of AQF 20 and/ or progress toward Ph.D/Ed.D.
Teaching experience in WA Primary/Secondary schools or 2 years of postdoctoral/professional experience. Must have relevant experience within the last 5 years.
Ability to engage in high quality independent research with potential to publish.
Currently TRBWA Registered.
A willingness to complete the QTPA Training.
