The Role:

Are you ready to step into a leadership role where your expertise in fleet and logistics can truly make a difference At Kempsey Shire Council were on the lookout for a forwardthinking leader who can steer our fleet operations into the future. In this key leadership position youll drive performance champion innovation and help deliver safe sustainable and costeffective outcomes for our organisation and the wider community.

As our Fleet and Logistics Manager youll:

  • Oversee the full scope of our fleet workshop and stores operations.
  • Drive the strategic direction of Councils fleet and logistics operations.
  • Oversee a talented team of mechanics technical officers and logistics staff.
  • Manage fleet procurement maintenance replacement programs and compliance.
  • Champion innovation through telematics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leadership on performance investment and risk.
  • Ensure highquality service delivery with a strong focus on safety and environmental compliance.

About You:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Qualifications in a Mechanical trade and/or Logistics Asset Management Mechanical Engineering or related field or otherwise significant equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing fleet operations logistics or mechanical services at a strategic level.
  • Detailed knowledge of fleet lifecycle management compliance and logistics systems.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and complex operations.
  • Sharp financial skills budgeting forecasting cost control.
