Job Description

The Role

Marcellin College a leading Catholic boys school has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Applied Learning Educator to join our team on a fulltime ongoing basis commencing Term 3 2025. This vacancy has arisen due to an increased demand in this space.

As an innovative educator you will strive to create a learning environment which engages and extends our students allowing all students to flourish. We are seeking an individual with the ability to teach a range of Applied Learning disciplines.

Key Success Factors

You will be an Educator who has a commitment to educating and inspiring students integrating real life contexts and applied learning pedagogy. Additionally you will have the ability to create learning environments that ensure the highest standard in the delivery of our Applied Learning program.

You will be someone who is able to model excellent teaching practices while building the capabilities of our learners through applied learning approaches to teaching and learning.

The ability to develop inclusive and supportive learning environments foster positive relationships and communicate with staff students and parents in a timely and respectful manner is essential to the role.

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in your specialist teaching area as well as:

  • A willingness to uphold the vision and values of Marcellin College
  • Role model and inspire a passion for Applied Learning in all students
  • An understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies
  • A commitment to working collaboratively as a part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills
  • An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement
  • A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students
  • Current VIT Registration
