Job Description

Our Outside School Hours Care service Waratah OSHClub is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primaryage children. 

This is a permanent parttime opportunity offering 27 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. You will work across split shifts to support the services operating hours of Monday Friday 6:30am 8:50am (Rise then Shine Program) and 3:00pm 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!

About the role

Comanaging a team of Educators youll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 512 years with the support of a state specific office plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging childcentered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM sport cooking art and craft whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children the school community and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite including roster management
  • Manage the daytoday operations of your service including compliance and administration

We can teach you about the job and sector but a few basics you need to have:

  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (well pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
