The Student Support Liaison is responsible for enhancing the wellbeing and overall experience of Khotwa program students. This includes providing support through coordination of peer programs workshops site visits and extracurricular as well as maintaining strong communication with academic institutions and supporting mentoring needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student WellBeing & Mentoring
Monitor student wellbeing and refer cases as needed.
Serve as a backup mentor when regular mentors are unavailable.
KPI:
100% of flagged wellbeing cases followed up within 3 business days
Backup on Student 1:1 meetings and tier reporting as applicable
2. Academic Liaison & Transfers
Build relations with and maintain regular communication with academic institutions for specific student needs and overall program needs. Support student transfers (casebycase) and assist with related documentation as needed.
KPI:
Maintain tracker of academic institutions contact details
Transfer assistance cases tracked and documented
3. Student Programs & Engagement
Coordinate and support PeertoPeer and Student Leader programs.
Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities (ECAs).
Plan and execute studentcentred initiatives and recognition programs.
KPI:
30% of students engaged in studentled programs per term
Monthly ECA participation reports
4. Site Visits & Workshops
Coordinate and conduct student site visits by region or institution.
Design and deliver inperson and virtual workshops on student success topics.
KPI:
Minimum # of workshops delivered per month (Based on plan)
Minimum number of Site visits completed per month (Based on plan)
Site visits requests documentation submitted for preapproval 3 weeks in advance
Postsite visits reports completed within 5 days of visit
5. Success Stories & Communication
Document student achievements and progress.
Develop content for internal newsletters and success story features.
KPI:
At least 1 student story submitted per month
Quarterly newsletter contributions delivered by deadline
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Education Psychology Social Work or a related field (Master s preferred) and minimum 3 years experience in student support advising or program coordination Or
Bachelor s degree in other field and 5 years experience in student support advising or program coordination
Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and across time zones
