Located 20km west of Sydney on Dharug country with a population of 240000 residents Cumberland City Council is the fourth most populous Local Government Area in Greater Sydney. The Human Resources team sits within Councils Corporate Performance Directorate and is responsible for a diverse range of services across Cumberland supporting people leaders across the employee lifecycle. This includes advice on team structures recruitment employee and industrial relations and learning and development as well as contributing to key organisation initiatives and HR projects.
The team were the recipients of the 2022 Employment Diversity Metro Award at the Ministers Awards for Women in Local Government and received an Honourable Mention at the 2023 National Awards for Local Government for our Mentoring and Development Program and proudly deliver internal services which educate inspire and build the capability of our leaders and staff.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Officer to join our Organisation Development team to assist with developing the capabilities of employees across the organisation.
Reporting to the Coordinator Organisation Development the role will work closely to coordinate and support the delivery of effective Learning and Development programs including elearning modules organisation development initiatives and will be responsible for administering Councils Learning Management System.

Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
What youll need to have for this role:
