You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAre you an enthusiastic and experienced Dietitian looking for a new and exciting role Knox Private Hospital is looking for a skilled collaborative and passionate dietitian to provide acute dietetic cover. This is a part time 0.8 maternity cover role.

Knox Private Hospitalis one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbournes east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise we offer 15 theatres including a hybrid theatre diagnostic cardiology two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery orthopaedics neurosurgery urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
Our expert care team of surgeons specialist doctors dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be.
As a Dietician your responsibilities will include:
Providing evidencebased nutritional assessment and management of patients in an acute hospitalsetting
Demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and evidence based practice
Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of ourpatients
Involvement in quality improvement activities and service improvement projects
Supervision of undergraduate students
Effective and efficient communication with patients families/caregivers and members of the multidisciplinary team
Essential criteria:
Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) as recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia
Eligible for full membership and APD status with Dietitians Association ofAustralia
Minimum 2 years acute hospital experience
Well consolidated acute clinical nutritionskills
Competence in nasogastric feeds and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
Exceptional time management and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
Proven excellence in customer service delivery
Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
Authority to Work inAustralia
