Classification: Municipal Officer Level 3
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $88483 to $96733 per annum 13% superannuation.

We are looking for a skilled and resilient WHS professional to join our team.
As one of our twoWork Health and Safety Advisors at the City of Hobart you will play a critical role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace. This role requires someone who is not only technically skilled in WHS policies investigations and risk management but also capable of working within the structured processes of local government. Youll need to be adaptable solutionfocused and confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels to champion a positive safety culture.

About you
You are a confident and adaptable WHS professional who thrives in complex environments. With a strong understanding of safety legislation and risk management youre not just about complianceyoure about driving cultural change. Your resilience and problemsolving skills help you navigate red tape influence stakeholders and implement practical safety solutions.
- Diploma in Work Health and Safetyoran equivalent combination of relevant skills qualifications and/or experience.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation risk management and safety systems.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and audits (ICAM training desirable).
- Ability to obtain necessary background checks.
