YOUR NEW ROLE
This position is responsible for the daytoday management of the HR and Recruitment teams; providing leadership mentoring performance management and professional development. The position assists with operational excellence in the effective delivery of HR and recruitment services in line with SOHs strategic vision and goals. This includes the delivery of policies plans procedures and initiatives to achieve SOH business outcomes.
The position is also responsible for providing expert and professional advice support and solutions to the Head of People and Development on all HR operational matters including identifying risks opportunities updates to legislation and best practice HRM and emerging issues to inform decision making.

ARE YOU THE ONE
Key Responsibilities/skills:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive generalist HumanResources knowledge skills and experience with specialist experience in one or more of the following areas : industrial relations; recruitment and selection; performance management; HR systems processes and policies; organisation design and development; job design and evaluation; advocacy on people management issues; grievance handling discipline and people issues and HR aspects of injury management and rehabilitation.
- Experience in managing the development and implementation of a range of human resource initiatives designed to improve organisational effectiveness.
- Ability to build effective business partnering relationships including an ability to analyse and evaluate and develop options and solutions.
- Solid understanding and experience in the implementation of public sector legislation policies and procedures relating to human resources.
- A valid WWCC clearance.
