About the Position
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the integrity of the general ledger and manage the treasury and financial monthly close function.
Supporting the Head of Financial Control in ensuring compliance of statutory and regulatory requirements of the organisation this position will also ensure timely preparation of internal and external reporting and contribute to the implementation of process improvement projects undertaken within the business unit.
The Senior Accountant Compliance & Reporting will also motivate and develop a small team leading them todeliver on organisational requirements within strict deadlines as required.
Full time ongoing position. Band 4.3 $114173.28 p.a. plus superannuation.
About you
To be successful you will possess:
- A professional qualification in accounting such as ACA CPA
- Extensive experience in financial accounting and complex reconciliation reporting
- Experience with general ledger data feeding from multiple data sources
- Previous experience managing and developing a small team
- Demonstrated experience in tax reporting (BAS) essential
- Moderate experience with the Microsoft suite especially Excel and its analytical capabilities
- Ability to build strong business partnerships/relationships with a wide variety of people and organisational levels
- Strong communication and high customer service focus with a proactive approach to problem solving.
