About the Role
Were seeking a talented and motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our development team. As a Junior Backend Developer you will work under the guidance of senior developers and be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend components of our software applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design develop and test backend functionality for our software applications.
- Write clean and efficient code in languages such as Python.
- Work closely with senior developers to understand project requirements and offer contributions and suggestions for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug any backend issues that may arise during the development process.
- Contribute to technical documentation and participate in code review sessions to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in backend development preferably in a professional or commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming principles.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python.
- Experience with backend frameworks and libraries such as Django or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL. Handson experience with either PostgreSQL or MySQL is a must have.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to haves
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy is a plus.
- Handson experience with any major cloud provider like GCP or AWS is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of frontend development technologies like HTML CSS and JavaScript would be a plus.
