Freelancer Job: Remote AI Consultant Open Source LLM Product Development
Position: Freelance AI Consultant
Location: Remote
Engagement Type: Hourly Freelance
Duration: Projectbased (initial 26 months extendable)
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Hourly rate (based on experience)
About the Role
We are hiring a Freelancer AI Consultant with 5 years of handson experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) to support the development of innovative products using opensource LLMs. This is a remote hourly role ideal for an experienced LLM expert who can work independently and deliver highimpact results.
Key Responsibilities
Select and recommend opensource LLMs (e.g. LLaMA Mistral Falcon OpenChat)
Design finetune and implement LLMbased solutions such as chatbots or summarizers
Build and optimize model inference pipelines using Hugging Face LangChain etc.
Integrate LLMs with vector databases like FAISS Chroma or Weaviate
Collaborate remotely with the product and engineering team
Provide clear documentation and best practices for deployment
Required Skills
5 years of experience specifically working with LLMs
Strong Python skills with frameworks like Transformers LangChain PyTorch
Knowledge of finetuning prompt engineering and RAG pipelines
Experience with vector stores and scalable model serving
Ability to work independently in a remote freelance setup
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
MLOps experience and containerized deployment (Docker/Kubernetes)
Prior experience as a freelancer or independent consultant
Contributions to opensource AI/ML projects
