Manual Radial Drill/Subarc Operator
Pay:$20 per hour
Location:Sand Springs OK
Duration:TemptoHire
Hours:4:30 PM 3:00 AM
Job Profile and Essential Functions
TheManual Radial Drill/Subarc Operatoris responsible for setting up and operatingManual Radial Drills and Subarc Machinesin accordance with required specifications. Duties include:
Reading and interpreting prints for required specifications and dimensions.
Setting up parts and making layouts according to blueprints.
OperatingManual Radial DrillandSubarc Machineefficiently.
Measuring parts using various measuring tools including tape measures dial calipers dial indicators and micrometers.
Removing slag using grinders.
Operating overhead cranes daily to load machines with parts.
Occasionally operating forklifts.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:Minimumtwo years of Manual Radial Drill experiencerequired.
Knowledge ofradial drill operations including drilling and tapping various hole sizes in different metal types while maintaining close tolerances.
Three or more years of experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components.
Moderate proficiency inSubmerged Arc Welding (SAW) processesfor manufacturing pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Ability topass a weld qualification testto obtain a code stamp.
Strong ability toread and interpret blueprintsfor specifications and dimensions.
Capability toweld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.
Selfmotivatedhighly productive and able to efficiently execute plans withmoderate supervision.
Teamoriented mindset able to work collaboratively to achieve company goals.
Ability to consistently maintainless than a 5 Xray repair rate.
Strong attention toweld quality with the ability to recognize and rectify substandard welds.
Dependable andpunctual with a willingness to work outside standard hours when necessary.
Highlysafetyconscious maintaining strict adherence to workplace safety protocols.
Physical Requirements
This position involves exposure towelding fumes gases and grinder dust making the use ofPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) imperative.The work area is not climatecontrolled meaning extreme temperatures may be experienced. The environment may also includehighnoise areas.
Ability to safely lift50 poundsand performphysical taskssuch as sitting standing walking climbing stairs and reaching.
Capable of working in ashop environmentthroughout all seasons.
Ability to safelyenter and work in confined spaceswithin exchangers or vessels.
Capable of safely tying off and working fromelevated heightson top of exchangers or vessels.
