Job Description
- Identify evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials machine components and consumables.
- Negotiate pricing payment terms and delivery schedules to ensure costeffective procurement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely supply.
- Coordinate with the production planning and stores teams to determine material requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders invoices and delivery receipts.
- Analyze market trends and negotiate best prices without compromising on quality.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchases and alternate sourcing.
- Assist in preparing the procurement budget and ensuring adherence to cost targets.
- Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards and technical specifications.
- Work closely with the quality control team to address supplier nonconformities and rejections.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations in procurement processes.
- Collaborate with design production and stores teams to ensure timely procurement and smooth workflow.
- Maintain and update supplier records contracts and purchase history for future reference.
- Generate procurement reports and provide insights for management decisions.
