Overview
The Gynaecologist is a pivotal role within our healthcare organization providing specialized care to womens reproductive health. This position requires a highly skilled medical professional with an MS DNB or DGO qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The consultant will play an essential role in diagnosing treating and managing various gynecological conditions from routine checkups to complex surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating patients about their health and wellness thus empowering them to take charge of their reproductive health. A commitment to compassionate care staying updated with the latest medical advancements and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are integral to ensuring highquality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and consultations for patients.
- Perform routine gynecological examinations and procedures.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of gynecological disorders.
- Manage prenatal care and postnatal followups.
- Perform surgeries including hysterectomies laparoscopy etc.
- Provide emergency care for obstetric and gynecological cases.
- Offer counseling on family planning and contraceptive options.
- Educate and empower patients regarding womens health issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with obstetricians midwives and nursing staff.
- Stay abreast of the latest medical practices and guidelines.
- Participate in community outreach programs related to womens health.
- Involve in clinical research and trials when appropriate.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff as required.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MS DNB or DGO in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
- Registration with the Medical Council.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of gynecological procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage stressful and emergency situations effectively.
- Dedication to continuous medical education and improvement.
- Experience in patient education and counseling.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of electronic health records and documentation.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
- Commitment to ethical practices in patient care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
