Job Description

Job Position:Brake Press Operator
Location:Tulsa OK 74107
Pay Rate:$22.00/hr
Shift:MondayFriday 6:00 AM 4:30 PM (some Saturdays as needed)
Type:Temp to Hire

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experiencedBrake Press Operatorto join our team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for setting up and operating a brake press machine to fabricate sheet metal components based on precise specifications. Candidates must have strong attention to detail mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup:Select appropriate tools dies and settings based on blueprints or work orders.

Part Fabrication:Operate the brake press to bend form and shape sheet metal into specified parts with high precision.

Quality Control:Inspect parts during and after production using calipers micrometers and gauges.

Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine. Report malfunctions or repair needs.

Blueprint Reading:Interpret blueprints schematics and work orders to determine material dimensions and specifications.

Material Handling:Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently.

Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Team Collaboration:Coordinate with coworkers to meet production goals and resolve issues.

Documentation:Accurately record production data and material usage.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.

Strong understanding of brake press machinery tools and sheet metal materials.

Proficiency in reading technical drawings and work orders.

Skilled in using precision measurement tools.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Strong problemsolving and communication skills.

Basic math skills for calculating dimensions angles and material thicknesses.
