Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community providing operating and assuring critical voice video
and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
AT&T has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician: To support the customers computer data communications systems in providing design specifications testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
- Respond to and resolve incidents demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
- Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
- Draft and implement standard network change requests.
- Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys TEMS coordinate and install new equipment).
- Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings ensure asset management records are accurate and conduct inventory.
- Coordinate network operations maintenance repairs or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
- Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6 SM/MM Fiber Serial cables SFP).
- Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers MAC addresses VLANs port security applying thin and thick configs.
- Layer 3 network experience (subnetting familiar with protocols such as OSPF BGP HSRP MPLS LSP GRE)
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs Port Security Thin Configs).
- Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco Juniper Brocade and Foundry OS.
- Experience with Visio.
- Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.
- May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. (NOTE: This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years masters and 4 years bachelors and 6 years associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years). Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Additional required qualifications include:
- Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
- In order to be considered for this position you must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
- Available to work flexible hours to include weekend support.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
