This position is responsible for performing routine tests inspections and warranty evaluations on all tools that have been returned for warranty credit. Determines cause of reject repair feasibility and properly repairs the defective product to meet reconditioned standards.
- Reassembles cleans paints and tests power tools to bring these units to a like new reconditioned state. Checks units for noise functionality and cosmetic appearance.
- Disassembles power tools and repairs or replaces any defective parts such as gears bearings armatures switches brushes etc.
- May utilize special test equipment to verify units/components comply with internal and external standards.
- Evaluates returned power tools both visually and physically to determine the reason for return. Applies appropriate Bosch failure code standards to the main failure mode and enter this data into the warranty data collection software along with the accurate product manufacturing date (date code).
- Ensures all parts used in the repair of the unit are picked and the appropriate quantities are used in the bench order repair screen.
- Ensures that inventory integrity is maintained by verifying that all scrap tools show to have the status of scrapped in the bench order screen before moving on to the next unit.
- Ensures all required components are included in/with the unit by utilizing all documents which define those components (Packaging Instructions Service Diagrams Special Notes etc.)
- Observes all safety regulations and reports any unsafe working conditions or activities to the supervisor ensuring that the work area is always clean and safe.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Entry level Demonstrated math skills and ability to work with numbers
- Demonstrated written communication skills and legible handwriting
- Physical agility and ability to operate basic office/mfg equipment
- Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.

The U.S. hourly pay rate range for this fulltime position $16.79 to 19.53/hour. Within the range individual pay is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc.
