Role description:

Arcadis is seeking aSenior Resilience Engineerto joinour Water Management Team in either Boca Raton Miami Orlando Plantation or Tampa Florida!

In this role you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to lead and support our growing base of climate adaptation resilience and waterfront projects across the United will alsohelp our clients achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions for resilient natural and built assets.

To be successful in this role youwill have a proven reputation with clients as a professional and dynamic engineer who successfully executes projects. You will also have the ability to lead while working on a wide variety of projects alongside a resolute and experienced staffin a handson role with an expectation of also supporting client development activities for municipal state federal and private sector clients.

Role accountabilities:

The Senior Resilience Engineer will focus on providing planning and design support for an existing and expanding client base in relation to climate adaptation coastal protection stormwater management environmental and social impact analysis and other resiliency needs.

The job role involves engaging in project management activities which includes overseeing a multidisciplinary planning and engineering team to ensure the successful management of project schedules budgets and quality objectives. Additionally collaborating with national leaders is essential to ensure that the necessary quality standards are in place to deliver on projects within the local market.

Part of the responsibilities includes preparing and/or reviewing design calculations and technical drawings to maintain the high standards expected within the industry. Moreover supporting the expansion of the resiliency practice and promoting the Arcadis brand are key components of the role contributing to the growth and development of the companys presence in the market.

Engagement with strategic stakeholders in the local market is vital for establishing strong relationships and fostering growth opportunities. Acting as an ambassador for both the local and national team which involves representing Arcadis at conferences and other industryrelated events plays a crucial role in promoting the companys expertise and capabilities within the industry. This multifaceted role requires a proactive and communicative individual who can drive projects forward while exemplifying Arcadiss values and commitments. Some travel may be required for project site visits client meetings and conferences.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Planning Civil Mechanical Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • PE license Certified Planner or equivalent.
  • 6 years ofexperience in water resources civil structural and/or coastal engineering with a focus on resiliency.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with preparation and/or review of engineering plans to ensure that all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed.
  • Prior experience serving as a project manager for complex engineering or multidisciplinary resiliency projects.
  • Experience with numerical modeling of flows in coastal estuarine or riverine environments
  • Solid experience working for municipal industrial state and/or federal client base in coastal resilience or a related area.
  • Experience working on a variety of projects simultaneously andcoordinating work with engineers of other disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or Ph.D. in Civil Mechanical Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • 10 years of progressive resilience related experience.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $82400$132000/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
