Job Description
This role is part of a new R&D Team in India focusing on developing and maintaining the next generation Digital Products for mission critical connective technologies. The role leads and drives all software development activities as part of a global and crossfunctional product development team. With its entrepreneurial spirit the role contributes greatly to the digital transformation of Oetikers products and the creating of new digital product opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Design and develop a secure and optimized storage solutions for structured and unstructured data using cloud native or hybrid infrastructure.
- Design and implement robust solutions for gathering and processing of data using distributed computing frameworks.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary global development projects teams.
- Collaborate with external partners
- Support internal and external customers
- Ensure data privacy compliance especially when handling customer data
- Contribute to the development of Oetikers Digital Product strategy
- General project work (agile) and departmental tasks
Skills
- Proven drive (energy determination motivation) and a cando mentality.
- Proven knowhow in software development life cycle and backend development with a focus on data engineering storage and cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of cloud storage technologies (AWS Azure Google cloud etc)
- Experience in distributed data processing technologies like Apache Spark Hadoop or similar containerised environment microservices architecture and data security.
- Exposure to real time data streaming tools (Kafka) IoT is a plus
- Familiar with modern collaboration tools such as Confluence for document purpose JIRA for bug tracking etc.
- Proficiency in software version management systems in Git
- Experience with CI/ CD unit testing frameworks
- Experience in collaboration with different stakeholder (FW HW PM QA)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
- Precise and analytical working style with a high commitment to quality
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level)
- Team player with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
Qualifications :
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar
- 5year experience in Software Development
- Experience in C# Java
- Experience in any script language i.e. PowerShell Python or similar
