About Urban Sky:
Urban Sky is a venturebacked aerospace startup redefining the way we analyze Earth from the stratosphere. We design build operate and sell stratospheric balloon systems. The data we collect supports a range of applications from realtime wildfire monitoring to urban mapping.
We are writing the next chapter of stratospheric history in Denver and are seeking selfstarting openminded and hardworking team members.
Role Description:
As anElectroMechanical Manufacturing Technician at Urban Sky you will be responsible for the manufacture and refurbishment of payload and avionics systems at our Denver CO headquarters. Youll work with our Lead Electronics Technician and hardware engineering team to assemble both production and R&D systems for regular flight operations.
This position is onsite at our Denver CO HQ.
Key Functions:
- Manufacture and integration ofelectromechanical assemblies.
- Semiautomated testing of completed assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and track manufacturing issues with assistance from our Electrical Engineering team.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with assemblyrepair and troubleshooting in an ESD sensitive environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and precision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical concepts
- Good problem solving troubleshooting critical thinking and creative thinking skills
- Experience with MS Office
- Able to keep a clean and wellmaintained workspace using 5Sphilosophy.
NicetoHaves:
- Exposure to a startup environment
- Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing environment
- Experience with RCA (root cause analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)processes
- Experience with technical writing
- Experience with through hole and SMD soldering.
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Located or willing to relocate to Denver CO
Benefits:
- Base pay $25 $32/ hour
- We are required to post this range per Colorado law. Your pay will be determined based on your abilities and experience.
