Information Technology Strategies Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to work for our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship clear criminal history check no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Assists in the development execution and planning of strategies to accomplish business objectives related to recruiting in conjunction with management.
- Participates in recruitment strategy and advises on content of advertising campaigns.
- Utilizes recruiting avenues such as candidate sourcing job fairs open houses social networking to attract top talent.
- Assists in the development of job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers and proposal teams.
- Assists with the selection process to include interviewing assessing candidates and recommending finalists providing guidance and training to management and peer panels for optimum candidate selection and improved retention.
- Assists in the development and management of partnerships with academic institutions and community organizations to build continuous talent pipelines.
- Maintains Recruiting module of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) ADP Comprehensive with appropriate status updates and notes on applicants.
- Assists in the posting and advertisement process of open roles.
- Partners with leadership on compensation related matters such as offers promotions and internal transfers.
- Works with hiring managers to understand technical requirements for open positions and tailors prescreening questions accordingly.
- Evaluates candidate skills experience and qualifications to determine their fit for the job based on the rating scale of prescreening questions.
- Assists in the implementation of change through fostering a collaborative and problemsolving environment.
- Works independently and in a team environment.
- Builds rapport with prospective candidates creating a candidatecentric relationship.
- Builds and maintains a talent pipeline of potential candidates for current and future technical job openings.
- Provides regular updates on recruiting progress to hiring managers.
- Collaborates with the Human Resources Proposal Managers and senior leadership to create and implement innovative recruitment strategies refine recruiting and onboarding process and design and implement measures and metrics.
- Stays current on industry trends market knowledge and competitive intelligence.
- Ensures compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
- Assists in the biannual position description review process to ensure accuracy and relevance across the company.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship clear criminal history check no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Must have previous experience recruiting within the Federal Government and/or Federal Contracting space.
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience.
- 3 to 5 years of recruiting experience.
- 3 year(s) of technical recruiting experience.
- 2 year(s) of proposal recruiting experience.
- Must have knowledge of Federal Government security clearances and 8570/8140 requirements.
- Understands information technology related terms with emphasis on development security and operations (DevSecOps) cloud and multiple service models (e.g. Software as a Service).
- Demonstrated success and leadership in the FullCycle Recruiting: Preparing Sourcing Screening Selecting Hiring Onboarding.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple job posting platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Indeed)
- Expert in sourcing candidates defining competencies interviewing and screening for candidate qualifications and competencies.
- Proficient with MS products such as: Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences:
- An active secret clearance.
- Previous experience with ISO and CMMI.
- Located within the Washington DC Virginia Maryland area.
- Handson experience with HRIS ADP Comprehensive.
