Qualifications:
Must have avalid State of Ohio Superintendent license

Salary:
The board will provide a competitive compensation package. A multiyear contract with provisions for longevity and a board paid annuity will be offered.
The salary and fringe benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Avon Board of Education has identified the following qualifications as being of particular importance:

A strong knowledge of educational performance standards and curriculum with successful experience in improving student achievement.
The ability to lead the district in development of a plan for the district that will enhance the students experience build trust and promote a sense of pride.
Success in promoting partnerships and collaboration with staff parents community leaders businesses and other important stakeholders in the community.
A working knowledge of school construction and ability to engage the community in facility planning and support.
Excellent administrative skills which focus on accountability quality supervision evaluation and datadriven decision making that inspire others to do the same.
The ability to communicate effectively and engage students community members board representatives administrators teachers and classified personnel in important school matters.
Integrity with high standards of honesty ethics and personal conduct.
A firm grasp of federal state and local regulations and policies.
Visionary skills with the ability to produce short and long range plans for ongoing improvement.
