Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSAs Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the nextgeneration enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month. We are a team of forwardlooking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills: Strong working knowledge of COBOL JCL ETL Linux Scripting and of DB2 and Oracle databases.
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite in Woodlawn MD 5 days a week.

- Analyze ETL jobs and the data feeds and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain documentation for job processes and update as needed.
- Monitor troubleshoot and resolve job failures.
- Develop code to create new clientserver jobs as part of application modernization effort.
- Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process.
- Provide guidance/support to other junior/midlevel developers.
- Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions processes standards or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of BS degree.
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
- 10 years of experience with Web component development using modern JavaScript CSS and CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS ES 6 and .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)
These skills will help you succeed in this position:
- Understanding the db2 data models and JCL Programs.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting daily production jobs and job failures.
- Coordinate with various other teams to resolve production job failures.
- Proficient in writing Linux scripts for ETL.
- Excellent communication and written skills
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

- Experience with modern development software tools and methodologies.
- Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.

Pay Range $104650.00 $189175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
