Administrative Assistant Riverhead (onsite). The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with two evening shifts per week (flexible).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide front desk coverage greeting visitors and answering/directing calls for Retreat offices. Sort and distribute mail. Provide remote backup administrative coverage to the East Hampton office.
Ensure the safety of the office by restricting or allowing entry to the building and monitoring and documenting visitors.
Supervise facilities maintenance and ensure the cleanliness of the Riverhead office. Maintain supplies coordinate repair and maintenance services as needed.
Respond to incoming agency hotline calls. Ensure safety of callers and provide instruction and eligibility criteria for ancillary and supportive services which include shelter counseling advocacy case management as well as other supportive services and linkages to vital community resources.
Provide administrative support services for the location as requested by the Director of Advocacy and Associate Executive Director.
Other relevant duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
HS Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of relevant administrative experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
MS Office Google Drive general computer skills required
Understanding of domestic violence issues and crisis intervention/advocacy and willingness to learn
Valid NYS drivers license
Fingerprint clearance

Full-Time
