About the role/department:

Outwood Academy Normanbys Humanities department is a thriving and popular area of the school highly regarded by both students and colleagues. We would like to appoint a new RS specialist to join our team which consists of 2 Geographers and 3 Historians all of whom are passionate about achieving the best outcomes for our students and take pride in their work.

As a Teacher of Religious Studies you will benefit from close collaboration with the Humanities team and support from a Subject Director who works across the Trust. Additionally you will have opportunities to connect with RS specialists in other academies. We foster a culture of collaboration to promote wellbeing and manage workload effectively. While our work can be challenging we are motivated by the meaningful impact we have on our amazing students every day.

We are particularly proud of the progress we have made in developing our RS curriculum and we encourage staff to lead wholeschool initiatives events and trips that promote global citizenship and engage with the local community.

Applicants must hold UK QTS if trained overseas have the relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS.
