Position Title: Case Manager Supervisor

Reports to: Division Director

Category: FullTime Exempt

Location: Washington DC 20009

Schedule: Monday through Friday Flexible schedule. Some evenings holidays and weekends may be required to support operations and respond to emergencies.

Summary: The position leads the case manager team in providing permanent supportive housing and intensive case management services to families experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness in DC using a Housing First Model. The Case Manager Supervisor will supervise the Neighbors First Individuals (NFI) Case Management Team provide training to staff and ensure all program policies and procedures are adhered to. The Case Manager Supervisor helps ensure that homeless families maintain housing and rebuild their lives relying on their own strengths using wraparound resources in a holistic participantdriven process. The Case Manager Supervisor collaborates with partnering agencies to ensure stabilization and selfsufficiency of all program participants.


Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with other members of the NFI management team provide overall supervision training instructive mentorship and coaching to staff.
  • Facilitate weekly individual staff supervision for case managers
  • Provide fieldbased supervision to NFI case managers as needed
  • In addition to individual clinical supervision act as the direct supervisor of assigned staff this includes performance management managing schedules onboarding and offboarding
  • Operating from an equity framework ensure traumainformed best practices and participantcenteredness are implemented by program staff.
  • Conduct facetoface contacts with PSH individuals as needed including completion of outreach engagement and intake services
  • Facilitate and attend weekly meetings such as staff meeting case conferencing NFI management team meetings etc.
  • Support the development implementation and management of NFI program policies and procedures in collaboration with other NFI management team members
  • Support administrative program management responsibilities for the team including monthly and quarterly reports program evaluation and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Ensure the integrity and timeliness of all documentation including participant interactions biopsychosocial service plans UIRs and other clinical documentation in OTCO
  • Model and ensure ethical service delivery as well as organizational/program/practice compliance as outlined by Friendship Place DHS and professional licensing boards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and contract meetings (DHS monthly provider meetings monthly 11 monitoring meetings etc.)
  • Ensure an effective collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders providing services to individuals including community agencies government agencies etc.
  • Demonstrate empathy and flexibility in responding to participants needs and requests
  • Ensure services are accessible and offered to participants as needed by public private or community partners (physical health care mental health care substance abuse/recovery services education/life skills legal services)
  • Determine and manage case load assignments
  • Serve as the clinical lead for crisis stabilization and safety planning while ensuring timely referrals to needed external crisis service providers (DBH/Mobile Crisis Adult Protective Services Domestic Violence MPD/Crisis Intervention Officer etc).
  • Collaborate professionally with external agencies and stakeholders providing services to participants within the restraints of HIPPA to further the goals identified by program participants.
  • Support monthly billing and invoicing
  • Provide case management support to a small caseload of participants as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements

Background & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in human services field (or related discipline) with 5 years of professional experience in residential/homeless services (required)
  • At least 1year supervisory experience or verified leadership experience (required)
  • Masters degree in Social Work or Counseling Preferred
  • DC licensure (LGSW LPC LCPC LICSW) Preferred
  • 2 years clinical supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with program management and providing supervision to staff
  • Understanding and/or experience working with families experiencing homelessness addiction mental illness and trauma
  • Experience and understanding of adult rehabilitation services
  • Understanding of the Housing First Model and Harm Reduction
  • Strong written verbal clinical and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse fast paced environment
  • Strong commitment to mission organizational core values including racial equity and social justice
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma and intersectionality

Physical and Environmental Requirements: 80% of the time in an office setting and up to 20% traveling via car or in the field. Includes visits to various environments such as shelters day programs other government agencies and participants homes. Supervision and oversight of staff who are oncall which may include being available via phone 24 hours a day when scheduled. Infrequent evening or weekend hours (agency events).


Background Checks: This position is classified as Protective Sensitive under DHS. The selected candidate will be required to complete and pass background checks specific to contract requirements that may include criminal history background check and fingerprinting FBI Background Check DC Metropolitan Police Background Check StateofResidence Police Background Check DC Child Abuse Registry (CFSA) National Sex Offender Registry Check Drug Panel and Alcohol Screening Tuberculosis Test and Driving Record check (for positions transporting participants). Reference checks and verification of current and or previous employment are required.

Specific Requirements: Must have own transportation to carry out job duties and responsibilities. The vehicle must meet legal requirements (insured registered etc.). Employee must have a valid drivers license.)

Compensation: The hiring pay range is between $69325.00 $75654.95 annually depending on licensure. Depending on the position the starting hourly pay rate or annual salary is based on a step system. A candidates starting pay determination is made based on meeting the basic position requirements and current completed education credentials and/or work experience. Please Note: The step system is set and not open to pay negotiation.
